I agree there is a natural explanation...scientists may or may not know it...
but, knowing the brain and how it works makes it no less Divine, Sacred or Holy.
One day we could discover that when the Presence occurs a particular chemical is present in the brain...God is the original Chemist! The original Electrical Engineer, the Giant Interior Designer...

The would 'conjure' is an interesting one being used here.
There is being still and knowing God. I never thought of it as 'conjuring', but rather...
preparing a space whereby the Holy Spirit would feel welcome to light, to enter, to visit.

Conjuring has shades of a witches brew or spell....to me...possibly self created.
The space we make for the acceptance or allowing of Grace....or another way to put it...
for our everyday conscious awareness to open to, to 'part the veil' to a Higher Consciousness
does not involve 'conjuring'...at least as I see the word.

Whoa...thank you for this story, McGowdog.

I JUST KNEW it was my father..telling me it's okay..I'm with you ( he had passed many years before)...

I also believe he (God) sends angels who actually do the "Leg work" and encourage..
comfort and support you...

So again..Not sure IF this is what the OP was asking..
I'll let it go this one time, hahaha..

My uncle, a buddy of past lives, comes to visit and infuses the air with ocean/seagull smells.
He checks in...I say, Hi, and tear up saying I'll be with him soon, my ole buddy.
But one time while in emotional distress, after the ocean smells and the hellos, haha,
he actually INFUSED my mind...with WHY
all this stuff was happening....you should have seen my mouth drop while driving
alone early, one crisp Colorado morning in the mountains.
It was like a therapist just gave me the answer!

A week later I read that Doreen Virtue, the angel lady, said that is 'what they do'...they
can 'infuse your mind with insight' ...
I had not heard that phrase before this, my exact words!

Yes, God manifests in angels that do the leg work or the little boy that smiles at you
when you needed it so badly!
Or the puppy that jumps on you when you're down...
All God, everywhere, can't get away for 'im!!!!

Thank you, Lyndarn.

I think it would be awesome if science were to somehow make a "God pill" that would create these experiences. I think there would be fewer claims of "this experience is actual proof of the existence of God" as most would attribute the experience to the pill rather than to a god.

Then again, maybe said pills would become another drug of abuse.

If the deity exists why doesn't the crazy so and so reveal itself to all instead of playing stupid games with humans?

The So and So's profile is only accessible for friends. Besides, what do you think God is, a personal micromanager? Personal Trainer? Santa Claus?

Didn't know this thread was going to be just another bash on diety by skeptics and coffee-shop atheists. How original.

That's no fun. What would the city-data religion forums be like then? Boring!

Whenever I read comments like this I automatically envision little Eggbert in the womb bemoaning the lack of evidence that his Mother exists.
