God does indeed limit Himself when dealing with man, but He is not limited. What wisdom and power is in the God of the Bible!
I do, however, find it amusing when unbelievers try to understand God. Give it a rest; you'll never figure Him out on your terms.
It does not say that He chose not to drive them out, it says that He could not drive them out...
However it says:
Shoftim - Judges - Chapter 1
19 And the Lord was with Judah, and they drove out the inhabitants of the mountains; but they could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, for they had iron chariots.

but they could not drive out: Targum Jonathan paraphrases: But after they had sinned, they were unable to drive out the inhabitants of the plain.
In other words, G-d withdrew from them because they had sinned and this was the reason that they could not drive out those in the valley...
That is a pretty unprincipled apologetic. God did not drive them out because his side had sinned, but because the other lot had stronger chariots. Yes, you may rewrite the bible to make it work, but whom, apart from yourself, are you fooling?
They don't. They know morefacts about religion than the AVERAGE follower. But this isnt saying much.
Someone once explained it in a series of concentric circles. Outermost is what outsiders know about a religion. Second is what believers (and former believers, if we're being honest some atheists are those that actively left the church) know, Third is what only those who a deep connection start to understand (the inner circle for Judaism is those who study the Zohar and Kabbalah and the other texts, the inner circle of Christians are those with a personal relationship with Jesus), and then there is the core. In most real religions (I don't consider all major world religions real), this core is identical. Unity consciousness.

Poor thing. God doesn't do business on your terms, so you're pouting. Truth is, you're condemned to hell because you don't believe the Savior of mankind, Jesus. Here are His words:

Yep, and it always amuses me because it usually signifies the poster has no argument left.
There's your problem; you're seeking an argument instead of tuning your ears to the truth. God is not interested in your argument, as He is extending His hand to fallen mankind to give people a way out. Take it or leave it, but there's no argument to be had.

Just because God does not reveal anything to you arrogant people does not do away with hell. Hell is very much real no matter how much you people try to wish it away. Jesus gave the solution: humble yourself like a little child, seek and you will find. God did it for me and so many others, so the problem is with you.

Sure, you people can't even bear the hot summers without air conditioning -- yet you think hell is a great place. People get locked up for leaving their children in hot cars, but you are claiming that the heat of hell is no big deal -- day in and day out, forever. Delusional.

Think deeper. God does indeed limit Himself when dealing with mankind. Just because of the actions (theft) of one family, Israel could not defeat the enemy because God would not help them.
