When I read the first post, I laughed. Yeah, I thought it was funny. I'm sure that is what they intended-a joke.
I can't believe people here find it offensive because the tree is in a private house. Chances are you are not even going to see it. If someone went into the house and did see it and was offended by it-well that is their problem. They can just leave the house. The homeowners have every right to put whatever they want in their living room and on their own tree. And whatever they chose to put on their tree has no effect on anyone or anyone's belief.

I was just thinking about that. I may be the only regular poster on this forum who has never doubted the existence of God or had a crisis of faith. I've had the same rock-steady beliefs about God, including knowing he loves me, since I was a very small child.
And I've been the the valley of the shadow.....as I know you have. My faith has never wavered. I can feel His presence.
You are fortunate to have such sensitivity, Dew. I had to work very hard at it, not knowing that is what I was doing. But that reality of His presence is what turned my life around.

I hope to find that someday. For some reason I can't NOT believe, and it's not for any of the reasons non-believers say we believe. It's a sort of knowing. But to feel that love that some claim to feel...I wish I could get there.

It is an immature gesture bordering on insensitivity to the beliefs of those who do not share their reality map.
What is your opinion on posting the 10 Commandments on public property?
Praying in public at government meetings?
Should creationism be taught in schools?
