Well sort of, but it's an open question to what degree some of them actually believe the stuff they spout, or are just cynically pandering to their support base which provides them what they really crave, which is power.

One can be fiscally conservative without buying into that garbage. I don't want to get into politics here, but suffice it to say both parties cannot be considered fiscally conservative in action, although at least one of them talks it.
