Moses was trained in all the wisdom of Egypt.
Act 7:22 And Moses was trained in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, yet was powerful in his words and works." He basically had a PhD in their science, math etc.
Yes, he was much more educated than the peasants he convinced to follow him. He may have had their best interests in mind, but that doesn't make his story any more than myth.

Of course he did.
Jesus, Who was present during the creation of the world and making the earth habitable again and was the one who formed Adam and Eve of the soil of the earth, was the One Who told Moses how it all went down.
Jesus was not alive when Moses was alive. Unless you are going to believe the "say so" of Moses talking to plants in addition to the "say so" of Paul that Jesus is god.
That's a lot of "say so", as you put it, to go and base your entire way of living on.

God used Moses in a mighty way such as parting of the sea. God doesn't believe in myths and so didn't give Moses myths to give to His people.

Paul never stated Jesus is God.
All creation came out of God and through Jesus
1Co 8:5-7 For even if so be that there are those being termed gods, whether in heaven or on earth, even as there are many gods and many lords, (6) nevertheless for us there is one God, the Father, out of Whom all is, and we for Him, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through Whom all is, and we through Him." (7) But not in all is there this knowledge . . . ."
Therefore Jesus was alive long before Moses was.
Joh 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Verily, verily, I am saying to you, Ere Abraham came into being, I am."
Just because you say it is a myth doesn't make it a myth. The fact that they didn't know they were naked until they ate of the forbidden fruit speaks volumes.

No, it is historic fact because it is historic fact.
This.

I see no reason to base a whole religion on a set of myths.
I agree. That's why Christianity and the Bible is based on a set of historic facts.

I find it insulting to say the least. It's also unnecessary to have a man God. Jesus the Prophet would have worked just fine. A prophet who put himself through the worst possible torture in the form of crucifixion to demonstrate to us his dedication - and survive, would be just fine. What a great, dedicated teacher and founder of a faith!
It was necessary.

But turn him into a God? Assign him with miraculous powers? Turn water into wine? Turning water into whine is an old trick involving a bladder at the bottom of the container. Water gets poured into the container and the wine comes out. No miracle there, just a neat party trick!
Jesus actually did turn water into wine without the use of tricks. He also fed over 5,000 people on a few fished and a few loaves of bread. Elisha did something similar in multiplying oil for a poor woman in the old testament in 2 Kings 4.
I was raised by Catholic parents, and I am really starting to laugh at the idea of going to Heaven. I think it's as bad as Hell (no pun intended). I think Heaven is a paradise for people who want to remain virgins and being prudes forever. If that's what our destiny is like, God is a sick God. It doesn't help that he's ignoring what's happening with the planet getting worse in this generation.
I refuse to accept anything that's supposed to go beyond our understanding, that fact is a sick, cold reality in itself.
Unfortunately, there is absolutely no reasoned case for a physical, beautiful afterlife. Why is the physical stuff on this planet so evil?

No, you don't have to remain a virgin to go to heaven. Thats not in the bible. You should get married which is better than extramarital relations anyway. And if you are interested in heaven, read the book called Heaven by Randy Alcorn. Heaven is a wonderful place like here but much, much better. There will be food there, friends, beauty, music, and best of all, God!

Which God? And how do you know that any of this is true?
God used Moses in a mighty way such as parting of the sea. God doesn't believe in myths and so didn't give Moses myths to give to His people.
But you believe this because of the hearsay of Moses....which was also believed and added to by Paul and others. That Paul and others didn't scrutinize the Moses story doesn't mean it was true.

Well, I'll take your word for who did and did not suggest Jesus as god in the NT....but it is the religion of Paul and it is the belief of those who follow Paul's religion.
The point still stands on it though....its hearsay and no more credible than that.
And you have presented zero facts to support your statements here. OTOH, anytime the biblical stories intersect with other cultures, the details are striking accurate. That factor alone lends support to the Bible as real history, not fiction.
Fiction writers also incorporate real historical events into their tales, does that make their stories true?

I've always wondered; Which husband does the widow get paired with in Heaven?
