Are there modern day prophets? I do not see the need for an intermediary. I prefer direct communication method.

No. There are no modern-day prophets getting downloads from God. He has given us 66 books full of information regarding what he thinks.

It seems very limiting. It is as if God stopped talking, and growing. God is now silent. Nothing else from God.

I do not think God works that way. God is never silent. God likes company, and debate as much as you and I enjoy it.

When I walk into the NYC Public Library, there are millions of books on the same subject, and every subject. Yet, God,according to you stopped speaking, and inspiring us after one man collected 66 books.

I do not think that is possible. How is that possible?

Maybe because they think they are the Christian God's representatives, when in reality they're not and just in the business of being the Christian God's representative for greed.

There you go again. You make a staggering claim with zero evidence to back it up. Just like all religious charlatans in history.

This is what I'm talking about: a person of dubious integrity who claims to represent a god.

The apostle Paul completed the Word of God and so no further revelation is needed for now.

Of course God likes company. But what He likes and what He dispenses at truth to the ecclesia are two entirely different matters. Like I stated above, God has already told us what we need to know concerning His goal for the ecclesia and for the world. No one is privy to further revelation.

I'm a little curious as to which books your referring to? The Hebrew sacred book has 24 books, the Protestant sacred book has 66 books, the Roman Catholic sacred book has 73 books, the Greek Eastern Orthodox has 78 books, the Eastern Orthodox sacred book has 81 books, and the Mormon sacred book has 65 books. Seems to me that none of you can get it right and you keep revising and adding to your sacred books.

What's going on? I would expect a perfect and holy God to have better employees here on earth. Maybe God needs to do a better job when screening applicants to be his mouthpieces.
You answered our own question in the first sentence, wasn't that easy.

Ultimately, all of God's supposed representatives are self-appointed. Nobody has a teaching certificate or license directly from any god.
