It is - but it isn't always because they don't have two brains cells to bang together, but if they are highly intelligent - and many of them are - it is misused to try to make a non case sound believable, while relative mental sluggards such as myself can look good because the valid case is so easy to present. It is true that much can be accomplished by way of misdirection, obfuscation and gool ol' bamboozlement by what is called 'Philosophy' bur of course is Rhetoric (which was originally part of philosophy) and is summed p by Aristophanes "Making the worse cause appear the better'. It is what we would now think of as Lawyer tricks, political misdirection and hard -sell advertising. Indeed I heard that the Jehovah's witnesses adopted the door -to door hard sell technique as a way of making converts.
While the case itself is simple, as indeed is atheism - the arguments designed by the best minds they have, Plantinga, Lane Craig and a few others - can take some unravelling, especially if they throw in a lot of obscure specialist Jargon and obscure the issue with speculative Quantum -Woo.
