Ok, so if it's possible that millions of Muslims are deluding themselves by believing that Allah answers their prayers, isn't it also possible that millions of Christians are deluding themselves in the exact same manner?

No, you have me wrong. I am not bound and determined that there is not God. I am simply sure that IF there is a God, it is certainly not yours. In fact, I could not care less whether there is a God or not, as it would change nothing with my life.
My "belief system" is very simple. As summed up by Marcus Aurelius a few thousand years ago
""Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."
