I'm grateful for your testimony and that of others like you, about the workings of sects like the JWs.

Yes my brain has been washed of false doctrines and corrupt practices Jehovah hates like sexual immorality that caused me to be disfellowshipped AND shunned in the first place. Also washed of the horrible smoking and over drinking that would have made it impossible for me to live in Paradise on earth under Jesus rule. Theres a beautiful experience of a brother who had a fight to cleanse himself of the filthy habit of viewing pornography. WT mag No 4 2016. I've noticed that many posts by JWs demonstrate without doubt how little they value higher education.
Not only that....but basic empathy. I suppose empathy is the casualty of demonizing people self-righteously by imagining oneself to be winning the race to higher moral standing. And rationalizing shunning is one way to conveniently place oneself ahead of others....regardless of whether that is helping the shunned. After all, we humans do like to keep score of such things.
But I must concede....while my personal experiences may be less typical....the JWs I've seen post here are not at all representative of the JWs I've known in the real world. Perhaps it is the internet permitting a more free expression, or just limited sample sizes.
Hm how very judgemental the person about the higher education I ll say this in a kind way as my Lord would want...When I was a single parent of 3 young teens I seriously started studying to be a lawyer. Was all set to work for a law firm. Guess what? My brain comprehended that if I carried on and got my degree I d be working for clients who would lie to me and I d know it. Did I need to work for folks like that no way. Same with psychology I gave it up as a bad joke why????people can change from one minute to the next. I ve cared for many people I really feel sorry for. Mental illness and true justice only Gods Kingdom can fix on a permanent basis.

Interestingly enough while they were telling kids not to go to school and adults to devote everything to full time service to the Watchtower they were sending young Bethelites to school to be lawyers.

The only thing to come out of this post, is even more proof that your "religion" is nothing more than a brain washing cult. It is sad to see someone's mind so completely and utterly devoid of any rational thoughts, or thought of their own. Really sad. Such a waste of life.
As for the lawyer bit a post or so later, I call BS. You can't even figure out how to type "I'd" or "I'll", and certainly can't figure out punctuation. So go back to your cult, and continue living in your bubble of ignorance. The sane folks will go about enjoying life, as any sane God would want them to.
