At least you are consistent in being condescending which is ironic since the fundamentalist wing believes that all people are equal.

Unless they are gay and want to get married, right?

You mean fine, outstanding Christians who did this? Are they your hero's Jeff, for shutting down prominent atheist's Facebook pages?

https://religousnotright.wordpress.c...ndamentalists/

In a targeted and coordinated attack at a number of high profile atheists, a group of fundamentalists were able to shut down the Facebook accounts by sending false reports to Facebook. Fortunately, after jumping through the hoops with Facebook, as they do not have a good system of procedure to object to spurious reports, those accounts were reinstated.

This was first reported by Matt Dillihunty, of the Austin, Texas in this post:

And yet you did claim he was an atheist just so you can claim we are mean. Maybe truth has a different meaning in your dictionary. ?

Wow, talk about obsessing. How is your post even relevant to my OP? You are talking about something posted weeks ago and I don't even remember the context, but you are so nitpicky and desperate to try and catch me in a lie. I'm sorry, it's extremely pathetic. The bottom line is Christians are being attacked for their faith. You can dance around it all you want, but it's right out there plain to see.

Goodness gracious Jeff. It is not condescending to urge people to learn and improve themselves.

Education is a GOOD thing.

Except, apparently, to the fundamentalists who get all upset when someone says something like, "A library card is free!" I'm beginning to think they believe the devil lives in library...... just waiting to snatch up the people who want to learn about Madagascar or the Louisiana Purchase.

p.s. If the fundamentalist wing believes all people are created equal....they're doing a lousy job of showing it.

Excuse this slight derail but this one brought back memories for me. Back in 1978 I was a member of the Big Brothers & Big Sisters of America, as was my wife. I also led a local band (in Chanute, Kansas) by the name of Shilo Canyon. Anyway, we in the band organized a fund-raiser concert at the Chanute High School for the BBBS Program entitled ...Everything Is Beautiful. We included local talent as well as the kids involved in the BBBS Program. We finished up the concert by bringing all the children on stage and singing that wonderful Ray Stevens song. The kids soloed the 'Jesus Loves The Little Children' part after which the band came in. It was a magical evening.

Anyone here from Chanute? Anyone here from Shilo Canyon? Anyone here who participated in that concert?

I'll take advice from someone who respects me as a person. Not from someone who runs me down.

I don't see any proof in that article that "fundamentalists" attacked his facebook. Just a lot of assumptions and typical mockery garbage from his camp.
