It is impossible to belong to Christ, and then not. It is beyond mere head knowledge.

well, actually, that is your blind faith statement. Once a person says they don't believe in god they are atheist.

a heart without a mind is blind, deaf, and dumb.

I don’t disagree with your statement, but one cannot break a relationship with Christ. They can quit growing spiritually, but the bond is still there.

Millions of people believed in Santa Claus, and then not.

It's ALL about head knowledge.

No, that was in response to "Once you belong to Christ, it’s forever". I'm no slave to an imaginary being (god).

growing spiritually is independent of Christ as taught by some Christians. using a Christ figure as a focal point can, indeed, help people grow spiritually. i would say some people out grow the Christ of the literal bible and come to know Christ just a little better. thebiblegod is just to small.

jesus' number one message was do not take religion literally. Go to the gentiles and the lepers and be with them, for we are the same thing.

that message can never be undone once understood.

I wasn’t asking for an opinion on that particular matter.

You’re one of those “Jesus was a good man” sort. I, on the other hand, believe Jesus was God in flesh, come to die for our sins.
