Faith doesn't mean "belief in a god" or "I'll blindly accept what's said." Trying to limit the meanings of words to one that is useful for you is disingenuous.
I'm not limiting anything.
Nothing is infallible...so "faith" in the validity of facts & evidence is inevitably required.

Actually it does mean the second. Using faith as a reason, is there anything we can not justify believing in?
"Strong Belief"....like what you have regarding the accuracy and actual validity of the information and data you have to back up what you call "facts" and "evidence".
No lesser mortal. That is NOT what faith is. Take the trouble to find out what faith is and then come back and try again.

You have FAITH (strong belief) that the information you are using is valid...but it might not be, as nothing is infallible.
A 'fact' becomes a fact when it has OBJECTIVE, VERIFIABLE evidence to support it. If the support is based on 'faith' (you need to find out what faith is) then it isn't a fact.

SO...you have FAITH it is...and then "claim" you have facts and evidence. Which may or may not be true...you can never be absolutely sure. Thus...you ONLY have FAITH.
You, et al, need to get hip to that.

Unless you could prove absolute infallibility (no such thing)...FAITH (strong belief) is always required.
You can never know anything "for sure".
It cracks me up...everyone necessarily uses some degree of FAITH to back any and every assertion...yet they claim to never use it!
It's the associated "headtrips" about the Religious conotations of the word that has them making such ignorant statements.
Their "RELIGIOPHOBIA" affliction gets 'em every time!

Which is all anyone ever really has relative to the objectivity of and information or data.
Unless you can claim infallibility (you can't logically do that) for the info and data you have to back up your evidence...you only have a "strong belief" (FAITH) it is true.
Faith is ALWAYS required. Faith that the info and data you have to back your "facts" and your "evidence" is valid.
Since nothing is infallible...all knowledge necessarily rests to a greater or lesser degree on FAITH.
SO...keep the Faith Raf...cuz it's all you *really* have.
Faith is a belief that something is true even though there is no objective, verifiable evidence that it is true. Facts are supported by objective, verifiable evidence (proof), that is why they are called FACTS. When objective, verifiable evidence (proof) is available there is no need to rely on 'faith' (belief that something is true even there is no objective, verifiable evidence that it is true). In the face of objective, verifiable evidence, faith is obsolete.
I have faith the airplanes won't fall out of the sky ... most of the time. No god involved there.
