Still Trump was liberal for years before He turned to the conservative party , as he could see the lame ideas for the economies the liberals have which do not work and then if Hillary wins then expect a 30 trillion debt which will bankrupt the American nation , as China money will have it limits for supporting the debt
It is critical to understand that Christian conservatism hasn't had a legitimate standing to wield the political power it has enjoyed for the last forty years. The political power of Christian conservatives stemmed from a literally unholy alliance forged that long ago that fused together three minority perspectives:
Christian conservatism
Staunch pro-business capitalism
Racism and associated forms of institutionalized oppression
This was an early form of what Dr. Rev. William Barber has termed fusion politics in his recent book, The Third Reconstruction. Regardless, Christian conservatives benefited from being part of this right-wing coalition. Trump sees coalition as a mechanism that depresses the ability for his contingent to achieve their goals. That's the nature of fusion politics: Each of the various perspectives gives up some of their political power to support the other perspectives in the coalition, in recognition of the fact that they are "Stronger Together". Trump fails to see any benefit from pandering to Christian conservatism with anything more than lip service. That contingent within the coalition is so small by comparison to the other two contingents, and so problematic from his standpoint (given that some Christian conservatives take Bible teachings seriously and therefore have "too much" compassion for those less fortunate in society such that they see some of the more extreme pro-business aims as morally offensive) that he probably figures that he's just as well off without them. He probably figures that he can attract more support by going to the extreme on pro-business, xenophobic, and Islamaphobic initiatives, and that doing so would more than make up for what he loses by paying Christian conservatism nothing more than lip service.
"Christian Conservatism" was really a fundie anti-progress agenda. Far from destroy it, he redefined it.
Let mre elaborate. It isn't a straight up conservative vs liberal election. There are, in any given election, there are three major groups (conservative, liberal, and centrist). The centrists don't vote third party, they swing depending on what candidate they most identify with.
Hardline conservative christian is a way of capturing older values, but it sometimes resembles neither conservative nor christian. Sometimes it's just backward. If conservative "religion" ever stood for slavery, or against interracial marriages, these were times it wasnt really for religion, which stands for freedom, justice, and peace (though its followers don't get the point).
Centrist christians, however tend to be mainstream Episcopal or Methodist, be for lgbt rights and environment but against big government liberalism. The above situation tends to turn off centrists as it is actually too fringy. On the other hand, when the schools feel like corrupt brainwashing centers, taxes are too high, or thing are feeling a little too big government with not enough rights for small business owner, they swing away from the left.
Trump is a centrist. He cares about some of the business aspects of government changing, being a businessman looking out for himself, he knows that the taxes arent in favor, but doesnt care about alot of the fringy crap that the GOP has been known for. The GOP is trying to get him to come across as more conservative, but honestly I feel that is a big stupid mistake. GOP needs to unload "conservative christianity" and let Christians actually vote as they would. Not as so fundie baptists think everyone should. Not all Christians believe LGBT ppl are sinful. Some of us believe in forgiving sins, and respecting ppl's dignity.
Trump has exposed them for what they really are, hypocrites.
They like to preach it and legislate it but they don't like to live it.
Or..... maybe they are just much more afraid of what a Clinton presidency will mean for the future of America..... And everybody knows that only two of the presidential candidates left actually have a shot (or ever had a shot) at the presidency. ... Simply put, it's picking the lesser of two evils.
I've always felt that if God actually wanted the USA to walk closer with Him he would allow the right candidate to make headway. Instead, the opposite is occurring. Christian conservatives know this country is on the brink of never seeing a republican in the WH ever again.

So, God is doing the right thing as long as he does what YOU think he should do.
Did you ever stop to think that he is? That he knows more than you?
Regardless, never having a Republican in the WH ever again would be a good thing. Things always go downhill when they are in the WH.
How can people forget the mess this country was in when the last Republican left the WH?
A Trump Presidency would make that mess look like good times in comparison.
Donald Trump has zero bearing on any religious issues, let alone destroying anything.
The argument is ridiculous. Trump is a political candidate who claims the banner of Christianity, while there has never been a single piece of evidence of it being true.
However, one does not need to be a theist to have Judeo-Christian principles as the backbone of their political policies. It wouldn't matter if Trump was a dyed-in-the-wool atheist, as long as he is the candidate that will further the principles that the religious right believe.
But it says nothing about Christianity or conservatism for that matter. It just says that Trump is far closer to matching the beliefs than Clinton, who is very anti-religion and socially progressive.
What? HRC is as much a Christian as Trump is a faithful husband, meaning not at all.
She falls on the wrong side of every biblical issue there is. Homosexuality, abortion, assisted suicide, religious freedom, etc... The list goes on forever.
I can only hope you're not being serious and I just missed it.
