Thanks to all posters for extremely insightful response to a subject close to my heart. My dogs and cats have had a tremendous impact on my life and others. I'm about to take Jace downtown where he always is a real ham. People are immediately drawn to him a beautiful malamute ( 6 mos old) already 55 lbs so not your normal "puppy". He is affectionate, kind and well behaved in spite of his owner ( me) being a dummy as a trainer. So with that said he will be taking ME for a walk today lol. When he jumps on me his paws wrap around my shoulders and he licks my chin. Is he an alien???? 6 mo. ago I held him like a newborn infant and now he is Godzilla!!?? Thank you Lord!!!
CD forum. A place where people who have never been to heaven explain what it's like, to people that will never go there.
But the only ones who know for certain if dogs get to go to heaven are cats. Dogs were buried with their owners in some religions and cultures therefore we are not the first to discuss this topic.
Sure, why not? All the rest of it is made up anyway so might as well add furry friends to the mix.
All the more reason for them to be included. We had a dog that "attacked" cats and wonder if after 15 years of being attacked by the same dog if our one cat would consider it heaven to be with her for eternity. Around the supper table it is a more pleasant thought than politics

Heh, in my house it is the opposite, my dog ~25lbs is consistently attacked by one of my cats ~8lbs and he will make a large circle when crossing the cats path to stay out of the cats way.

We have a rescue dog who genetic testing affirms is mostly Malamute and Pug (interesting to imagine how he was conceived). He has topped out at about 25 pounds (he's 5 years old now). He can't figure out if he's a sled dog or a lap dog. Usually he runs around for awhile and then ends up konked out on your lap. It's an interesting mix.
