When it comes to Grace at Thanksgiving................

I always think of Jimmy Stewart playing Charlie Anderson in the movie Shenandoah.

Quote:
Lord, we cleared this land. We plowed it, sowed it, and harvest it. We cook the harvest. It wouldn't be here and we wouldn't be eating it if we hadn't done it all ourselves. We worked dog-bone hard for every crumb and morsel, but we thank you Lord just the same for the food we're about to eat, amen.

I only cry when I say the grace and not when I hear it from others. No matter how hard I try and I even practice alone beforehand to try to get my emotions in check but without success. The obvious answer would be to let someone else say it, but I want to be able to do it without tears. Does this happen to anyone else and have you been able to overcome the tears and if so, how?
It just feels more real when you say it yourself. Are you emotional when you pray outloud? It could be the level of intimacy over-whelms you.
