How many people who utterly detest religion turn around every year and happily buy presents around Christmas for their children because they don't want them to feel left out?
Can you have more options in your poll? I do not utterly detest religion, and I am an atheist. I celebrate Christmas as a celebration of family and feasting. I buy my loved ones presents, but I have no children. Do my dogs count?
Same here, just a family gathering. We don't usually buy gifts, but we do secret Santa, so we draw names from the hat, and buy gift to the designated person. Children get separate gifts.
I guess the most that stand out tend to try and offend religion as much as possible. I can't edit and the poll is a failure anyways. The point was more to ask how many would be hypocritical in their stances for superficial purposes.
I celebrate Christmas as a lovely family holiday that has nothing to do with religion or god. After all, it started out as a pagan holiday and not as a Christian one. Now it's a commercial holiday. Heh...
We celebrate Christmas as a time to spend with family. I never taught my child about Santa. I felt so betryaed when I found out my mom lied to me about Santa, Easter Bunny and The Tooth Fairy.
I was a very precocious 5 year old. My step-mother pointed out to me long ago, that kids aren't stupid and wll beging to wonder why Santa never visits children whose parents have no $$. We wouldn't have Toys for Tots or any of those other charities asking for new unwrapped gifts if Santa really existed.

Utter failure poll my bad.
Just because a group stands out doesn't mean that they speak for the whole. If that were the case, all Muslims would be terrorists and all Christians would be like that kansas church that protests at funerals.
The majority of atheists are quiet and effectively in the closet due to societal pressures.
I bet someone you know is an atheist or agnostic, someone who hasn't come out about it.
oops i didnt read ur first post!!!
so take my "do" vote away. I love CHRISTmas and am christian
