Nailed it. I agree with much/most of what you say. What industry is GldnRule in that religion would impact?
Porn. Since '85. All genres...live, print, and video. I post mostly while I'm working...to burn lag-time.
I've never been Religious. And based upon western "societal norms"...I am just about morally bankrupt. Though, not all bad...just mostly.
A Gnostic God-Believing (Panthiest) pornographer...HOWBOWDAH?!!
Believe me Vale...Shirinas offerings to this board are primo! Look in the archives...it's worth checkin' out.
I realize you aren't addressing me, but I would like that very much. I love conversations with people of other faith traditions, and reading their holy books. I don't have to agree with them to get a positive understanding of them. I'm actually in the process of ordering the Qu'ran once I get CAIR's site to cooperate with me. My Internet is being rather obstinate lately. You can donate to them, and they will send you one. You can get one even if you don't donate. I have a Hindu doctor, and she shares her faith with me sometimes. I love that.
I went to a business luncheon the other day with my new bosses. Ten people at the table. Three of us ate. The other 7 are fasting because it's Ramadan. I said to my bosses "it's OK, I don't want to eat in front of you plus they are serving steak and I don't eat meat anyway." One of them said, "No, you have to eat!" and waved over a waiter and asked them to bring me a vegetarian meal. They said that's what they normally do when it isn't Ramadan, because they only eat halal meat anyway.
Of course, there are those on this forum who believe they secretly want to kill me.
Well...in my view, there is no "Satan" or "Hell"...but even if there is, I have that covered too.
Here is a post of mine from 7 years ago...it explains it: http://www.city-data.com/forum/15438196-post35.html
You are gonna love this board Vale...it's really great.
Somebody around here hasta be DaBadGuy...it may as well be me...since I fit the description so aptly!
Well, you know, if the shoe fits and all.... There are several people on here that other may think of as "DaBadGuy/Gal" though. I am sure there are some on here who think of me that way. Oh well, can't please everyone!
Note: Not saying you are a bad guy, since I don't know you outside this board, but if you want to describe yourself that way, who am I to stop you? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (I stole that from my hubby. I mean, look how cute it is!)
The entire story about the Bible in the hotel
room was that the hotel was government owned and those that opposed
the Bible being there were doing so due to the concept of separation of
church and state.
For there to be a "separation of church and state" the church (the people, the property of the people, the laws followed therein) would have to persist independently of that called the state (the people, the property of the people, the laws followed therein). The ability of the laws of the state to govern the lives of the people of the church already demonstrates the lack of such a separation. The "separation of church and state" is usually cited when the laws within the church are being applied to those people of the state, or some element of the state, but not vice versa.

Are you saying that the only way that there could be a separation of church and state is if the laws of the state did not apply to the people of a religion?

If that called the Church and that called the state, as outlined, are separate. The naturalistic definition of religion would not be identified as Christianity.

Good, another person who will not answer a direct question with a clear answer.
