Exactly. I'm a fan of magic and have watched it my whole life. I could tell you how they do things just by watching. I can even convince people that I'm telekinetic.

As for the preaching, you will never hear of the next Native American Church meeting. And you will never hear of any Native American trying to preach or convert anyone to our beliefs.
Because we have the knowledge that there is ONE true God. just ONE. not 2, not 3, not 4 etc. but ONE. Yes, you don't try to preach and convert people to your beliefs because conversion isn't such a serious matter for you. It is a very serious matter, because we have the knowledge that there is ONE true God, and that is Christ Jesus. His spirit is alive in his redeemed. There is hope, hope that is uncontainable. The salvation that we have recieved is far too great for us to not share with others. God is far too good to keep our mouths shut about. When you fall in love with someone it's very hard to not talk to people about it...it's kind of like that.

Yes, you don't try to preach and convert people to your beliefs because conversion isn't such a serious matter for you. It is a very serious matter, because we have the knowledge that there is ONE true Vishnu, and his son Krishna. His spirit is alive in his redeemed. There is hope, hope that is uncontainable. Tell me why mine is wrong and your is right.

I'm not a Hindu. I'm just showing how your statements can be applied to ANY religion.

I find this very bizarre.
Do other Christians feel that they are "in love with" Jesus?
I don't need an explanation of what "love" is - but this poster has mentioned a feeling of romantic love as experienced by human lovers. Is that normal?

Jesus is the Son of God, He has a Father.

"THis is my Son, in whom i am well pleased, hear ye him".

Jesus said, Let your light so shine, that them seeing your good works, shall glorify the Father...Not hearing the your not saved mantra every where they turn.

How does what you say uncover atheism and open our understanding of the whys and wherefores?

godspeed,

freedom

Secondly we are not interpreting it "badly" because we "refuse" to accept it. That is so presumptuous of you to say. Who ever we is, but I my self reject it for two reason, one it is not what the bible teaches. And slow down, I know the arguments been there done that ... here is a very good web site Hell - where is it? What does hell look like? Who is in Hell?

What jesus (well the character in the fable) was talking about simply is not what many (not all) preachers teach today.

Do you know that there are many christians who say hell isnt real, and even that all are going be saved no matter what they beleive.

WAIT ! Before you start the "I know what the bible says" rant, so they also claim.

Man, for goodness sakes learn something about your own religion.

Here is another good site Robert F. Capon : Good News Of Great Joy : All Saved

Oh ok since you insist here is an even better one, this one was one of my favorites as a matter of fact just full of good stuff about the bible, its translations, and so on.

Take an honest look, if you arent afraid you pastor will get upset. Christian universalism--Ultimate Reconcilation: The True "Good News" Gospel of the Bible

Oh yea and the second reason is a bigger issue, one most christians cant handle. Which is the fact that there are so many religions out there, all making various claims about this that and the other and the evidence they all have to back their claims is goose bumps and fuzzy wizzies.

Of course you refuse to accept you may be wrong, so why even bother ?

"And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Yes, and Father, Spirit and Son are three in ONE. But to answer your question, this is a forum. What do you want me to do on here? brag about the good works I have done? Absolutely not. What more can I do than preach the gospel? That's why I am here on the forum in the first place...I have one mission here. I am just explaining to Reidbird what I am talking about. Are you a Christian?

see this is something that really ticks me off about preach-bots. A person actually takes some time to write an answer and rather than engage, a verse is thrown in. Coupled with the fact that you've been told not to preach since its more irritating that convincing, it makes me think that you are just trolling us around

It's as simple as this: The verse IS my answer. Why do you hate the word of God?

No..

It's annoying when you post bible verses as if they mean something to nonbelievers. The bible proves nothing. A book is not evidence of itself.
