well, Wiki: "Reincarnation is the philosophical or religious concept that an aspect of a living being starts a new life in a different physical body or form after each biological death. It is also called rebirth or transmigration, and is a part of the Saṃsāra doctrine of cyclic existence.[1][2] It is a central tenet of all major Indian religions, namely Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism.[2][3][4]"

Guess I'm not the only one who is confused. My point was that any "force" that drives such a process seems to me to have some attributes of a deity.
You're not alone. It's a difference Buddhists on Buddhist websites often discuss quite intensely.

Non-sequitur. It's irrelevant to the point.

It's ok if you don't have an answer.

There are 39 books in the OT. According to wikipedia there are 24 in the Tanakh. I'm assuming you're referring to the common books of the Tanakh and OT? Or are you referring to the "oral Tanakh"?

Yes, some people realize that if you are going to have a priest it is more likely that a woman would be a good one than a man.

Some of us have moved on from the 15th century.

You may be disappointed to hear we no longer allow the burning of witches.

Yes. The Episcopal Church in the USA has ordained women to the priesthood since 1977.

Even crazier, the Presiding Bishop--the organizational head of the church in the USA, is an African-American.

Michael Curry https://g.co/kgs/L2dw7x

I was lucky enough to hear him speak last year at our diocesan convention. Very inspiring and funny as heck, too.

Walks the walk. He was at Standing Rock, too, which only made me a bigger fan.

My wife knows an Episcopal priest who fills in around the diocese here as needed, and she's a wonderful human being. Also being semi-retired she says what she feels is right and the local bishop just has to deal with it. Livin' the dream, from what I can tell. She's a perfect example of a woman in leadership who is 110% comfortable in her own skin. I wish we had more female leadership in church, government and business. It brings a needed balance to things.
