I think it's a valid point that not all religion is exclusive; some is inclusive. Not all religion leads with doctrine; some gives primacy to community. Not all religion is about being right; some seeks to do good.
Some religions don't even have a god on offer.
I am not persuaded that religion has some inherent secret sauce but now and again it can be a source of actual value, for some people in some circumstances.
Heaven forbid that someone says God loves you! Report this to the mods.
I guess the concept of God loving people is not something you like? You did watch the video? Right?
The problem is that the gods most commonly worshiped by humanity are as far away from love as the earth is from the edge of the universe.
Which, perhaps, is the point of the video.
"God" has been used as a weapon for the past 4,500 years, and while mordant is correct in saying that religion CAN have some value to some people in some circumstances, religion and the concept of God unilaterally derails the moment it organizes, gains political clout, and grants itself a mandate to conquer the world with its dogma, traditions, values, morals, and self-righteousness.
People need to remember that MY god is YOUR god to everyone else ... and that's how it should have stayed.

I didn't watch it myself. The concept sounds too vague and 'Love' is utterly misunderstood and nothing to do with gods anyway. So no wonder Phet saw it as Proselytizing (shoving religious Faith -claim in your face) and while that's ok, here, did it really merit a 'We are being so persecuted!' comment?

If you didn’t watch the video, why are you commenting in this tread?
