Let me know when this diety says "Howdy!" to the world. I can claim unicorns and leprechauns are real, and put the burden of proof on others to prove that they are not (like what Christians and members of other religions do to non believers when someone challenges them to prove that their diety is real).

Point: just because a bunch of people wrote a book thousands of years ago, and got generations to believe whats in it does not make it true. People can be easily tricked, sometimes on a massive scale (look at the "Flat Earth Society"). Just that so many people got pulled into this isn't enough to make me believe any of it.
