Since we're talking about a 4 year old and a 7 year old, I assumed that was who needed to learn about Hell. Why else would it have been posted in this thread?

But you are using your usual too wide brush. Conservative theology does not teach young children about hell.

First of all talking about God is not pushing it off on anybody. Second the atheist are continually pushing off their theology of there is no proof of God.

Then you were scarred by something other than conservative Bible Christianity. I know some churches strongly preach and teach condemnation for disobedience, but that is not Biblical. Those churches have a legalistic theology , that IMO is as bad as liberalism, maybe worse.

Yes very weird song full of lies.

Yep this is where you will find the term "yellow". Go take it up with the person who wrote that song.

What lies are in that song? Please include why they are lies.

What you think does not make them weird. You just don' like Christianity, so you have become a fault finder to support your own theology. How sad.

It is irrelevant, unless you can prove the 4 gospel writers were lying and you can't. If there was only one gospel, you might have a point but there are 4, at least 2 of them were eye witneses, and it is also taught in the epistles.

Do you think that Harry Potter was real because it's written in a book? After all, there's heaps of witnesses that you can find in any of the HP series.

That is the pathetic idea voiced by all of you secular fundies. Let me tell you how to decide, Go to a public library and see what section you find the Harry potter books,

I have the power to become invisible. Prove me wrong.

Come o me or get on TV and show me and the world. However, this is no about me proving what you say, it is about you disproving what the Bible says. Can't do that can you? So you are just blowing smoke.

Do you really think that you know my experience better than myself? Wow, your ignorance is astounding, even by religious standards.

Intelligent well-mannered people without unhealthy ego issues actually ask a person when they don't know.
Stop pretending you know, you're not psychic. It's so rude & disingenuous.

"conservative Bible Christianity", as you oddly describe it, includes stories of the Magical Ghost Guy, the Devil & a lake of burning fire that was created by a 'loving God' to eternally torture most of his 'children'. That's enough to scare the crap out off any little impressionable kid with a vivid imagination.
Teaching kids this superstitious nonsense is child abuse.

There are a zillion claims that cannot be proved/disproved.

Then some of them may be true and you do not have the ability to know which ones are false. Many things once thought false, have been shown to be true. That is especially true in Biblical archeology

Which again, it is not incumbent upon anyone to prove your ridiculous claim false.

Another pathetic excuse for you lack of ability and understanding. I have not ask you to prove what I believe, I have ask you o prove what YOU believe.

It “is” incumbent upon you to prove it exist when making a positive/factual claim. You, like all religious believers are the ones blowing smoke and providing no evidence.

But it is not incumbent on you do do what you want me to do. That is hypocrisy. I have said many times I can' prove what I say. Why don't you be as honest as I am and admit you can' t prove what you say?

The fact that you are coo coo for coco puffs is less disturbing than the idea you worship an imaginary creature that would create such a place. Seek help.

It is amusing but predictable when you secular fundies can't make your point and are exposed, you show the height of your intellect by resorting to stupid insults you think are so clever.

I enjoy your stupid insults. They expose your true character.

then again, look no further than the evangelical leadership to understand how this infestation has taken on a life of its own.

Bet you a dollar to a doughnut hole you can't name these evangelical leaders. For any you want to name, also include what they say is false or bigoted.

It is the haters like Maxine Waters, those who who attack people they dislike in public places , and the liberal press which is stirring the pot of hate, not conservative Christians.

I have been specific, now you be the same.

I, and most atheists are making no claim. We have nothing to prove. All we are doing is dismissing your claim based on no evidence. If your claim was only about afterlife wishful thinking, I wouldn’t pay you any mind. What I respond to is this sick concept of hell. You say you can’t prove it exists, but I’m left to assume you have faith that your theological belief is real. This would necessarily include the eternal torment of most humans, which makes you sick. It is one thing to have”faith” in a benevolent god that rewards believers, yet another to worship a vindictive god that horrically would torment his creation for eternity. Again, seek help.
