No, because there is no history of discrimination in service for seniors the way there is for job discrimination. I have to wonder why people don't seem to see that there is a reason for laws that a majority of people in any particular political group may choose to pass. Do they think that we get together and say, "Let's pass THIS, it will get THOSE people bummed, won't that be FUN?" Actually, there DO seem to be such reasons for some laws passed, but thank heavens they get shot down because of more rational larger thinking.

This Ohio restaurant owner was clearly trying to punish atheists.

Not specifically spelled out in the law since the common definition of words like "discrimination" is assumed. Giving advantage to one group is de facto discrimination against all else.

This is very similar to something that appalled me back in the days when I was still a christian. It was in Winter Park, Florida, and a gas station gave a 15% discount to christian customers. Shameful.
He did, he changed it to a discount for all, between noon & 4pm.

I hope this was supposed to be sarcastic.

The Ohio restaurant owner knew that people often go out to eat after church and was just trying to get their business by targeting the market.

Changing it to a Sunday discount was a good idea. Now he will get church-goers AND non-church goers, and this whole controversy will have worked out very well for him.

If it was near my church, I would grab all the leftover bulletins and then hand them out to families as they entered the restaurant.

Where you live girl? I want that discount (though I am not 60... but you will help me buy it right )

I get tired of picking up a water glass and drinking wine, sometimes I just want a beer to unwind at the end of a long day fighting fundies, whackjobs and others who refuse to believe exactly as I believe.

NOTHING made his stop. HE made that decision on his own to discontinue the program.

Maybe the real story is the owner is uninformed as to what the law allows him to do...

OR as suggested, offer 10% off to EVERYONE and tell others to STHU...
