Why should we take their word anymore than yours? Neither of you can provide secular/contempary evidence for Jesus's divinity. The fact that Christians and Islam branched off of Judaism does not make either anymore real.

He was born of a virgin, if that doesn't raise suspicion about the fabrication of this entire story then I don't know what will.

Notice that when Mark wrote the first gospel roughly 50 years after Jesus' crucifixion this aspect of the story hadn't even evolved yet. It isn't until the Greek writer of Matthew comes along and digs up some verses out of Isaiah and totally mistranslates the Jewish word, "almah" which means "young maiden" (who could be a virgin or a prostitute, doesn't matter as long as she's young) and renders it strictly "virgin"

a virgin (almah) will conceive a child!
that the legend begins to pick up steam until Luke comes along around 130 CE or so and elaborates with this entire episode of Gabriel visiting Mary and saying she will be impregnated with the Holy Spirit. Here is a classic example of myth-making at its finest.

I think many religions have similar fables connected with them. For example, in Buddhism, https://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning...ddha/1lbud.htm

The story of Mary is more fleshed out in the Quran. She has an entire chapter (19th surah) dedicated to her. Also, there are lost books of the Bible called "The Gospel of the Birth of Mary" and "The Protoevangelion" that discuss her background more and provide context to the story of Jesus. I'm sure all these books can be found in their entirety on the internet.

When omega ventures to decipher this, you'll KNOW what that clanging sound is, won't you?

Your opinion ignores that connecting Matthew 16:28 with Matthew 10:23 does the exact opposite of what you say.

Otherwise Jesus would have said go in Matthew 10:23, as in away from his audience on earth. Come means towards his audience on earth.

Words do have meanings, you know.
