Invite them where? To the office?
I've been to their alumni association scholarship dinner with about 100 other Pakistanis who attended the same engineering school in Karachi. Didn't seem too dark-age to me. A woman got up to state how important it is to encourage daughters to study math and physics, and a man got up to announce that next year the scholarships would open to engineering students outside the Paki community. Didn't sound anywhere near as dark-age to me as some of the people on this forum.
They're aware that there are people like you who want badly to keep that perspective going. They thrive in spite of it.
