I clearly do not "hate" a belief in no god. I don't believe in god. What you are fighting is me calling you out for basing your conclusions on a statement of belief about god. You don't like that I don't care about a statement of belief about god. I only care about how the universe works and/or what seems to work for humans (as in the human animal as a whole)

He doesn't understand that his homeland is more akin to a small shop attached to a larger anchor store in a shopping center. The small shop doesn't survive unless the anchor thrives.

Here's an interesting thing for those who don't believe in an Interventionist God. I have been watching a youtube video called "An Oral History of the Jesus Movement" that I started last night. It's a three hour discussion about the early 70's Calvary Chapel/ Jesus-Freak hippie movement. I was getting ready to pause it halfway in and search for some Monkees videos, when one of the guys suddenly mentions Mickey Dolenz being at the church once. Thirty minutes later I'm still playing the same video. How can anyone explain that?

If you head wasn't glued in a Religion -oriented way, you'd see the very obvious fact that I am posting in the US. That's the place that needs to change. the UK - and Europe has already changed. The US Is the anchor -store - we UK atheists know that.

Hate is a strong word. Maybe people do "hate" something about aggressive atheists.... the SAME way that they hate aggressiveness in anything, such as an overly aggressive religious evangelist.
But in my opinion no one hates anyone who just lives and believes without trying to convert others. I don't see fundamentalists even having that attitudes towards atheists. There seems to be a mutual respect between the vast majority of atheists and religious fundamentalists.
