That fore was before my time.

I put this fore and the Talib an bombing the Buddha statues, losses to the entire human species, a shared cultural loss.

It would have been a stop for us if we ever got to Paris however it doesn't matter if I see it not, it is a special site for all. .

I never got to see it and I lived in Rodalben Germany in 2007 to 2008, 20 minutes from the French border...

Not me bro. Never did have a lot of time for monuments erected to wilful ignorance and superstition. If the Church had spent as much on the poor as they do on places like that, it would be a much better world.

Similar to Köln Cathedral. Work started in in 1248 but was stopped in 1473 with the Dom unfinished. They started working again in the 1840s, and completed it in 1880.

It is one of my favorite places, especially with the sun through the painted windows.

Terrible news.
Hopefully most of the historical items have been saved, including Jesus Christ's Crown of Thorns.
France will rebuild this great church, no doubt about that.
