God's love is unconditional according to the last few verses of Matthew 5, and we are urged to be like Him in that. It ain't always easy.
If there were no conditions there would be literally no conditions. No limitations, no favoritism, no concrete different consequences. Something that the non-introspective scripture did not think about, since smashed up wood and drained ink does not think.

Don't make the mistake of thinking "unconditional"means"without consequences."
Most certainly. But then it wouldn't be a fully open love, as is claimed/implied.

What conditions does unconditional have? Differing consequential outcomes can only be set for certain different conditions.

I was talking more about the meaning of unconditional requiring there to be no conditions. For example, the very conditional love of a mother called "unconditional" conventionally, is actually conditioned on the fact that she sees the one she loves as "hers no matter what, and needing/deserving her love."

I've already thought about extrasuperspiritual maturity, along with emotional maturity and psychological maturity. All considered, and their attainment and maintenance as well. The old seem to grow into babes again.
Buddhism made sure that I would be aware of their experience and belief of the extra-supernatural, and further beyond.
The Enlightenment made sure I would understand about the maturity in the overflowing knowledge of thought and the science of mind.
As such, I left spiritual maturity for the business of psychics and mediums.
And focused instead on greater maturity in respected, detailed, and standard consensus fields as well as in personal extrasuperspiritualism and then happily hoping for further beyond.

Compare Jehovah's definition of love with Jehovah's behavior. Love is patient, kind, and... frequently commands genocide. Love is not jealous, but Jehovah is a jealous God. Love does not become provoked, but Jehovah regrets having made man and so drowns them all except eight.
I don't much care for Jehovah's love.
I understand what you're saying, but Jehovah gave everyone the chance of surviving, it was up to them if they were going to survive that flood, but everyone took Noah for a joke when he tried to warn them, so they paid the price. Yes, Jehovah did regret that, but put yourself in his shoes, he was hurt... we as humans regrets many things out of anger or hurt feelings. If Jehovah God wasn't about 'Love' then he wouldn't have bless us with variety of things, including waking us up every morning.

I feel sorry for anyone who believes a psychotic mass murderer is loving.
