Who knows what they will see with this telescope, but I think its safe to assume, if they see anything remotely close to what you have described, NONE of us will hear about it.
I presume they will tell the public something 'alot less bizarre'.
I watched a group of Nasa and Seti people discussing the idea that much of the public think that scientists like that would hold back information to hide a discovery, and they were all laughing about it sayingnit would never happen because the people in those places want to make discoveries, and so ething couldn't be hidden even if the government wanted it hidden.

I know you aren't interested in this, but for the Christians looking for Jesus to come in an actual cloud for the world to see, that cloud is people.

There is nothing that is not a metaphor, you are water and in the water as we are water, blood and spirit and the water divides and they stand as walls of water on either side pointing to the last Passover where God will divide your waters, and everything under the waters is exposed. Jesus made fishers of men to come and take people from the waters, and he becomes a river of life that flows through your waters.
Ezekiel prophesied that a river of life would well up from the south side of the temple and from there it would go out unto the whole world, and this river of water has a mind of it's own where it heals some waters and curses others, but most Christians are still waiting on a actual spring to pop up on an actual temple when there will be no temple made with hands, it springs up in people
God clothes himself in dark clouds that hold all the waters in a cloud without letting them fall.
The James Webb Telescope is going to find life if life is out there, the things it is capable of doing is on another level, but I have a prediction.
No, it won't, because it was never designed or intended to do that.

That's not how it works.
First, SETI's function is disinformation, not science.
Suppose you live in Miami and you're getting ready to go out for the evening, but can't find your car keys.
According to SETI, what should be your next logical step?
Well, according to SETI, you should get on a plane, fly to Seattle and start looking for your car keys there.
That's exactly what SETI does.
Since we already know life exists in the Milky Way, and specifically in a certain section of a spiral arm, logic dictates that you begin your search here, yet SETI blatantly refuses to do that.
Instead, SETI stares at far distant galaxies 100 Million to 150 Million light years away, of which we know absolutely nothing about, then not finding anything, claims no extraterrestrial life exists.
That's SETI's job.
And, why would you hold out NASA as some kind of authority?
NASA is no authority on ETs or ETVs. Not one person at NASA has ever chased an ETV, and no one, save a few astronauts, has ever even seen an ETV.
So, whatever NASA says is totally irrelevant, and the government would most certainly never tell anyone at NASA anything about ETs or ETVs.

Not if it was on the level of being a threat to national security...
Keep in mind also, a 'threat to national security' can mean different things as well, example, obviously if there was an extraterrestrial race engaging the earth, and our military, that would definitely be a threat to national security.
however the technology such an advanced race would possess, would also be a threat...to the financial security of the nation, so even if they, themselves were not a threat, all the potentials that could come from disclosure, would certainly be a threat too, what if all the sudden, no one needs to buy gas or oil to power their cars anymore, what if no one has to buy electric to power their homes anymore, etc etc. These are all threats to security.
