It all started with the serpent.

Genesis 3:1 "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?"

OK... so what I don't understand is...

Why did God create the serpent?

So God says "OK, my plan is working!" when He punishes Adam and Eve for something they could not have done without the serpent?

That makes a lot of sense.

LOL! Best answer today!

God created good and evil so that we would be able to learn. We learn by contrasts. Good from evil, bitter from sweet, hot from cold, ect. He has a learning process that He is bringing His creation through. IMO of course.

So, in this process of learning what 'good' is by experiencing evil, some people - perhaps those who learn slower than others - are condemned to experience evil permanently?

Not a question necessarily addressed at you, Jeff (I know your response! ), but a thought-pondering nonetheless.

LOL. You know, something tells me I've made myself clear.

It is thought-provoking, is it not? How could the Bible possibly speak of the perfect victory of God our Creator who loves righteousness and cannot bear evil, if that victory really means that He cannot bring His own creatures at last to hate evil as He hates it, but must confirm multitudes, indeed the majority of them, in their choice of evil for ever and ever?... What sort of victory is it to be able only to subdue evil and prevent it harming any but those who choose it, and to be unable to bring human souls to abominate it and desire to forsake it, so that the evil itself ceases to exist?...

Why did God create the serpent?
Well Abrahamic religions are transpositions of much older religions that taught how a magical tree of eternal life was an important part of God, & it grew souls/orbs on the ends of its branches, & each branch had two serpent-like tendrils that were underneath the orb of the soul. Many plants have similar tendrils at the base of their flowers.

The serpent in The newer story about Adam & Eve was simply the serpent tendrils of the tree from the older religions. So God didn't create a serpent that talked. The serpent was simply the extension of The Tree itself. It is The Tree of Life & it grows souls. It extends a flowering branch into every person & your soul comes out of the flower & sits in the body. The serpent tendrils of the tree remain under your feet, & then at death you find yourself in a tunnel; & that is the inside of the branch that was holding your soul in your body throughout your life.

The Ancients including Egypt worshipped the Tree of Life as God & depicted it in their art as a small bush next to the feet that the gods came out of.

They knew that The Tree held all souls/orbs on its flowers, & the tree brought the serpent & a winged teacher with it.

In Egypt the bush appeared to Moses & said It is God. It had flames covering it as Angels of God also have at times. It is the atmosphere burning around them because they are from a much higher/faster frequency.

So The story of Adam & Eve being tempted by the serpent to learn about The Trees of God is simply a transposition of far older knowledge which taught that The Tree of Life has natural serpent tendrils underneath each soul growing on its branches, & angel's wings guarding the soul. They all hold it up in the illusory energy world (the earth) & make sure it carries out its mortal life, instead of going back into the tree & mingling with all the immortals. But at death you will find yourself in a tunnel leading to the light, & that tunnel is the inside of the branch that your soul came through into your mortal body at birth.

By running from The Tree with its higher knowledge 'Adam & Eve condemned themselves to be totally ignorant of their own eternal souls within them, & live as mere mortals who die instead.

Religions are basically translations of eternal knowledge that the gods all know about.
