Reading some other posts, this question popped into my mind.

Can Satan repent and be saved?

Cheers,

Thought this was a good answer so I'm putting this here from another thread.

“Satan has seen. He has no ‘faith’” I hadn’t thought about faith in that way.

Cheers.

Satan hates God. Why would God force someone back into heaven that hates him so much? It seems like that would be an awfully cruel thing for God to do.

This one is tough, trying to think like God and Satan is impossible but think in this:

God is the supreme essence, the unique indivisible, non-dual, infinite being, he is the only reality, so In order to create this world he created and then applied the law of relativity to his infinity, and with this duality was created, the ever existent (yet illusory) dichotomy between soul and spirit.

In this illusory world of his, the one splitted into many... For this to happen duality was needed, so we have male and female, night and day, positive and negative, right and wrong, good and evil, spirit and maya (satan).

So in a sense creation as we know it couldn't have existed without God's counterpart, if there was no metaphysical evil, to drive souls away from spirit, all souls would be one with spirit thus returning to the supreme and absolute reality (God, the trascendental father beyond creation.)

There would be a time though, when all souls will become good through a natural evolutionary process, so when all souls get reunited with God, Satan (and the vibratory creation) will be dissolved by the destructive power of spirit (Shiva) so creation can start again.

Satan's power and existence depends on souls foolished by his cosmic illusion so, as long as there is one soul subject to the influence of Maya aka Satan, he will still hold some power and will remain existing (and with him creation), he will never repent because Satan is afraid of loosing his individuality and independence over God and merging back into his cosmic consciousness, that's the reason he desperately tries to lure souls into his illusion, however once the cycle of creation is completed and everything is dissolved satan is also merged into spirit with everything else.

The process of cosmic dissolution is symbolically illustrated in this painting.

http://www.heb.gov.sg/hindumagazine/images/shiva1.jpg (broken link)

Shiva is the Destroyer or destructive aspect of spirit, that brings about the dissolution of the world at the end of time.

Shiva is portrayed dancing on top of a demon. This prostrate creature symbolizes indifference, ignorance and lethargy while Shiva's dancing energy symbolizes the force able to conquer those negative aspects of humanity.

satan is a fallen angel.
Hebrews 2:16 states Jesus did not come to help angels, but Abrahams decendants.
read Heb 1&2.

No satan is not offered the plan of salvation, nor is any other fallen angel.

Nor is any angel---period.

There's an excellent book on angels by Billy Graham. I highly recommend it.

In short, they will never experience the joy of salvation and of the relationship we have with God. He bases all his views on scripture and it's truly amazing.

Satan is supposed to be very clever and powerful is he not, a master deceiver, 'blinding the minds of the unbelievers', the 'ruler of this world', transforming himself into an angel of light when the fancy takes him....

Now the Bible tells us just how Satan meets his demise, that he will be drawn into battle with God and God will prevail... then what his punishment will be.

So how come this very, very, clever intelligent being is so stupid that he will follow exactly the path laid out for him by God in the Bible to his ultimate destruction?

Ok, so God is all powerful and there is nowhere for Satan to run, but why doesnt he just spoil Gods fun by doing something different, fouling up a few prophecies in the process...then at least he could point to God and say He lied?

He can't because God is all powerful and there is nowhere for him to run, just like you said. The devil is smart but God is smarter and He is the one in control.

Talking I can answer this one right away.

It really avoids the problem of being that guy.... too bad I'm clever.

Can the climate change, in a two week period, switch back to the state it once was (it, consisting of thermodynamical realities for thermodynamical arguments)in the seventies considering our culture begs living ways of sun and progressive work of the seventies?

To believe in Satan gives that idea power. I do not believe in Satan.
