I recently learned that you can sing "Amazing Grace" to the tune of "House of the Rising Sun", and vice-versa. They both sound pretty good!

Somewhat more jarring is singing "Lullaby of Broadway" to the tune of "Good King Wenceslas", and vice-versa.

We had a really rare day today. Supposed to rain all afternoon, instead the storm moved east and we had a glorious sunset. And, for a change, I was home early enough to sit on the porch, sip a glass of Jameson, smoke a nice cigar and do nothing but be quiet..........in todays world that is such a rarity.

rofl................now back to work...........

We've got about 2 inches of snow and I just pulled 4 loaves of homebaked bread out of the oven. It's a wonderful day out here in the boonies.

The Creator is good to the people of the plains this year. Please pray the winter continues to be mild and this will be a winter of no deaths for those who do not have the means to survive a harsh winter.

May the weather stay merciful.

Woodrow, thanks for giving me a slap upside the head. Prayers heading up. We have had a mild winter here in the boonies too, for which I am thankful.

Ya know, on my first (and only) trip to Taos, I had quite a different experience. My wife and I were on our first-ever trip to Santa Fe, and were driving up to Taos. She was driving -- it was her turn.

About 20 miles out, I was overcome by an extremely "negative wave" -- and I do mean overcome. It seemed to me that the message was "We don't want you here, but if you come anyway, you WILL pay for the privilege..."

Though we did visit the town of Taos, we stayed well away from the Taos Pueblo.
