TULSA, Okla. - As Oral Roberts University prepares to hand out diplomas to its Class of 2008, Anna Siebring, a junior, will be mailing out applications to transfer to another school. Siebring, a government major, is among many students having second thoughts about staying at Oral Roberts after six months of scandal at the evangelical Christian university.

To be honest I didn't realize that Oral Roberts even had a University and I've always associated him with the big business of tv preachers who live like movie stars from the thousands of contributions of followers, many of whom are senior citizens living on a fixed income. I don't know what you can get a degree in from this university (I doubt if it's evolutionary biology) but if I was a student there I think I'd be packing my bags and would try to get into a reputable university.

I have always equated televangelists with the "get rich quick" infomercials, as in send me your money and I will get rich quick! I echo your sentiment that if I were an undergraduate student at ORU, I would be attending a new school come September!
