How do we know that those things didn't happen during the period of overlap and interbreeding prior to their extinction? It could be the homo sapiens that buried those they interbred with. Remember Cain had to have a wife from somewhere.
Neanderthal’s were capable of making stone tools, making fires, making necklaces and you don’t think they would be capable of burying their dead? I don’t know of any animals in existence that can do any of those things. Neanderthals have about 99% similar genes to Homo sapiens.
Adam appears to have lived in the Kalahari desert region about two hundred thousand years ago. The San people are the direct descendants of Adam and his fellows. So not only was Adam African but he was Koi African.
