The Dolly Llama (LOL) is a fairly sensible guy, so I doubt he'd be mixed up with any cults. People love to spread rumors though, so it'd more of that bizness than anything else.

If you watched the documentary, Raniere had a visit with the Dalai Lama. I don't think His Holiness was truly aware of what whack jobs some of those folks were.
