There's an easter bunny, tooth fairy, tinkerbelle, santa claus. Can't prove there is not, can you?

no, I can't. But my point was not what you seem to have thought, I started this thread because I believe that God was made by men, and not the other way around.

That seems way too oversimplified.

If we accept that statement, then, because I can't PROVE or show you that Mr. Ed (a talking horse) exists, he must really exist somewhere.

I believe in something divine, however, but it's not anything that I could prove to anyone. That's called "faith." And I don't think faith is really something you could rationalize.

That's my two cents. There are a million other threads about all of this, too, if you're looking for opinions on it.

Here's some more two cents

I don't think that, because I believe in something divine, others have to believe it, too. We perceive our world and reality in a PLETHORA of different ways. No need to shove our perceptions down anyone's throat.

Hasdrubal, there are several threads about this now, including Man Made God.
I was just getting a jump on the "christian" argument.

to really understand the past and future of man and to appreciate the present state of man's journey through time, it is crucial to consider god's original purpose and plan for his creation. god's purpose in the begining was to; establish a family of spirits sons , not servents; establish a kingdom, not a religious organization; establish a kingdom of kings, not subjects; establish a commonwealth of citizens , not religious members;establish a man , not reigion; extend his heavenly goverment to earth;and influence earth from heaven through mankind....

And god personally told you this? He revealed his unknowable (according to religion) plans to you because of your unique understanding?

This is your opinion, which you are entitled to, but please state it as such or declare your divinity.
