Near as I can tell, a good third of Christians believe the Bible is the literal word of God and as such has been protected by Him.
And I can see why. Because, then...they are good to go. Since those writings all fully cover themselves, even to the point of telling you not to question or critique it, just fully defer, and go by what it tells you. Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.
Jewish teachings suggest Lot’s wife was turned into a pillar of salt because Lot requested salt from his wife to be offered to the traveling two angels. His wife told Lot it was bad custom to offer the salt from their household, so she went house to house in the neighborhood informing the men of the houses of the two travelers while she looked for salt. This idea is not expressed in the Bible, only in Jewish teachings. According to Bible commentaries like the NIV Zondervan Study Bible, Lot’s wife was turned into a pillar of salt as she looked back, “for disobeying the instruction not to look back. Her action suggests that she identified with the people of Sodom. Her failure to flee God’s punishment becomes a vivid warning to others (Luke 17:320).”
I was wondering if I can find any similarities about the Sodom & Gomorrah story between the Quran & Christian scriptures. In the Quran it says that even though his wife did not commit any gay act, God still destroyed her because she was verbally very supportive of LGBT. She used to side with the homosexuals and even worked as a spy for them against her husband.
Here’s the Quranic story: God sent a couple very handsome angels to Prophet Lot’s house to test the people of Sodom & Gommorah. His wife then spread the word about them throughout the town. The lustful men came running to Prophet Lot’s house to fulfill their desires. After they came to his house, Prophet Lot said, if you are interested, you may marry my virgin daughters. The men replied “Don’t be silly, you know we aren’t interested in them. And you know why we are here.” They wanted to have sex with the angels who were disguised as handsome men. Prophet Lot asked them to stop looking at men with lust and forbade them from having sex as God commanded. They did not listen.
God commanded Prophet Lot and his family to leave the city. God then destroyed the city and his wife. He destroyed his wife as well because she was an ally for the homosexuals. Is that similar to what it says in Christian scriptures ?
Genesis 19:17--- The angels sent by God told Lot and his family to leave and do not look behind you. Lots wife looked back, disobeying God after he was saving their lives.

Yep. No need to make her a first LGBTQ martyr. Though, some will surely try and many will land willing ear to that idea. Give it about ten more years and the Holy Sarah, or whatever was her name, will be on every rainbow shirt.
So, Lot...a guy that offers his female children to strangers, to be used as sex toys, is one of Gods better humans?
I'm pretty sure that's what women are for in the eyes of Bible literalist. Ever hear one of these guys talk about marriage when trying to say same sex people can't marry? It's all about sex.
