People are born gay. I am a Christian and I am not gay but those of you who are Vhristians who do condem gay people need to remember that sin is sin no matter what it is, fornication or not and all people commit sin. Judge not lest ye be judged!

Thus a person can be "gay" in the sense that they have homosexual desires, but trust Christ and fight those feelings and depend on God and trust that His Word is true, so they would not go to hell. ANY person who continually lives in a sinful lifestyle with no repentance or change will go to hell; it doesn' matter if you are a homosexual or straight.
So what is you are saying is that homosexuals should remain celibate? If straight people were considered an "abomination" could you, or would you want to live your entire life celibate?

agreed. As a matter of fact lust is a sin no matter if you are gay or straight. No sin is worse than the other and a straight couple having oral sex is no different from a gay couple having sex because in both cases its "unnatural sex" based on the christian view.

Well murder is a sin and I have restrained myself from killing anyone although there have been times when I wanted to!

gsoboi,

Jesus did not explicitly condemn homosexuality, he did implicitly condemn it when he affirmed marriage between a man and women. He definitely never condoned homosexuality. To say he was not against homosexuality because he did not speak of it is an argument from silence.

Tell me what couple is going to love someone the way a husband and wife love each other and NOT engage in sexual acts? That is sort of ridiculous and hypothetical...The Bible condemns both the receiving partner and the initiating partner in homosexual activity, and it does refer to lesbianism in Romans 1:18-25. Just because it might "turn some guys on" seeing two women, that does not make it better or right. I am sure there are some straight guys who get turned on by seeing a woman raped....well, obviously, that doesn't make it better or right.

yea and youd go to jail and get the death penalty for killing someone. You can say the same about to gay people engaging in a homosexual relationship. Murder also involves hurt someone

All sin is sin. It doesn't matter if it is homosexuality or stealing or lusting or coveting.

A "gay" person who is a Christian who is fighting their desires would not necessarily need to be celibate. That is a false inference. The reason is that there are Christians who have been engaged in homosexual activity at one point and who have turned from that and are now married and have children, and they are following Christ. Thus, it is possible to have these desires changed and to live differently than you are naturally inclined to live.

People do not like the fact that Jesus calls us to absolute devotion to him. Jesus, as a figure of speech, said it is better to cut off your hand or gouge out your eye if that will keep you from sinning than to enter into hell with your whole body. In a similar manner, it is better to live your life celibate in complete devotion to Christ than to experience sexual activity and go to hell. If anyone does not take up his cross and die, if anyone does not love God above all else, Jesus says you are not worthy of him. It all depends on what is most important...

Nate....How could a gay person under your judgement ( there is that word again ) not stay celibate if he is not attracted to the opposite sex and views straight sex disgusting?

You think about having sex with a member of your own sex...I mean picture it in your mind...Would you or could you? By the way many gays are Christians and many Christians have no problem with whatever gays do.

The "gays" you say have changed were probably never gay to begin with.

What gives you the right to say that gays are going to hell...That is intolerant.
