The thought has always occurred to me that Christians and Muslims and others of monotheistic religions should consider the possibility that they are all worshiping the same God. Is this totally impossible, or could we all possibly just be worshiping the same spirit in different ways. Consider the scattering of the people after the attempted building of the Tower of Babel. Maybe the Lord separated men not only by their tongues but by the way they worship as well. These are just my thoughts and not meant to change anyone's opinion. Just interested in what you all think. All religions welcome. All comments as well. Thanks.

But it seems to me this is where Christians get a little mixed up. Jesus was not God. He told us himself not to worship him. He was supposed to be God's son, not God himself. So even if Jesus's message was different, in the end the same God was present throughout and still is today. And that is where I think a flaw is found in the Christian religion. They have stopped worshiping God in favor of his son. I don't think that is how it was supposed to be.

NO, absolutely NOT, no way do I believe they are the same. Isaiah 43:11 "I am the Lord and there is no other God".
And I do believe that Jesus is God, and I believe in the Trinity.

But that makes no sense. Jesus told you all in his teachings not to worship him. He is not God. The whole idea of the Trinity is incorrect. God is God. Jesus, his son according to Christianity, was just that. His son incarnate on earth. To combine them into one is a grave error on the part of modern Christianity. You are in essence worshiping someone other than God. You too are a son of God. But we certainly wouldn't worship you would we. Jesus may have died for your sins but not so you could worship him. He wanted you to worship the father, not the son.

It make sense to me, there are many verses where Jesus said He is God John 10:30 "The Father and I are one". John 14:9 " Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father". Jesus and Father are one in essence and nature. In fact the reason He was crucified was because He said He was God.
