So you put me to thinking and I Googled the phrase "prophetic longing" and came up with a number of theological/religion links. Maybe that would steer you where you want to go?

Someone told me my longings were prophetic and it just didn't make sense to me. how can a desire that cannot be obtained be prophetic? sounds trivial but it did make me think more than i should have about it. lol
A desire, by its nature, implies the unfulfilled. If you believe in reincarnation, perhaps your past life experiences have left a seed of longing in you for something beyond your immediate self and the circumstances surrounding you at this point in your life.
I could give you an astrological explanation, depending on your age. Of course, I have not seen your chart, LOL. It may be you have to fulfill some dharmic responsibility b/f you can move on to other things in your life . . .
Marvinnative, i am really perplexed about the phrase. I guess i have the same "longings" as most people but just can't logically put "longings" and "prophetic" together without being completely confused.
