Sylvia Brown
What's your take on Sylvia Brown? You think she is for real?

I find her credibility rather questionable and the truth of her being a 'psichic' rather suspicious. For one, she steadfastly avoids any scientific testing of her purported powers, which is a classic sign of pseudoscience. Her performances on television seem to be indistinguishable from 'cold reading'(a method used by stage magicians.) Also, her record of 'psichic predictions' appears to be no better than that obtained by educated guesses. The main problem with her is that the 'evidence' that what she does is true is based on testimonial cognition rather than evidence which can be gained scientifically.

Let's say I have my own opinions of her. What disappoints me is the fact that I have a lot of respect for Montel Williams, but because he believes in what she does it makes me question him. Of course, I have noticed her handing him a check on his show for the MS fund.

Interesting....
Einstein said something fundamental, that the absolutely most important choice each individual makes in life is: Do I live in a hostile universe, or a friendly universe?

I really like Sylvia Browne. I think though, it is entertainment, and at the same time, I do believe some of what she says. Just because "you" can't see something, dosn't mean it dosn't exist. I know she's also been used in solving crimes. Nobody can be on 100% though.
I also like John Holland, but then I'm into those kinds of things

Well, I will tell you what I think and I am not pushing my thoughts down anyone throats. I believe there are evil spirits out there that can take form as something which seems to be good. The Bible says that you are not supposed to open your mind to such things. I think she has opened her mind and she truly thinks she is doing something for good because she mentions God alot, but I think in reality it is evil taking the form of good. Just my take.

This is my opinion as well....I think she is a tool of Satan and nothing more.

She's not an evil spirit. She's just a psychologist/magician without the title. Any experienced magician could do the things she does.

Never said SHE was an evil spirit. The evil spirit would be the lady she says tells her stuff. I forget her name.
