I get "riled up" because I fully believe that our eternal destination depends on having it right !

And again, I point out: it's your creator, from your religious view, that is under attack. You're still dividing the world into 'us vs. them', which is still a viewpoint largely based on fear.

In this case, it's the fear of 'rebellious multidimensional beings' -- the people get all whipped up into a frenzy and run around telling everyone else they're deluded for not seeing the 'multidimensional war' that's supposedly rages around us every day.

It's the fear of somehow 'losing' this 'spiritual war' -- a war that, when you get down to brass tacks, only the 'enlightened' or 'educated' are aware of (which is, in itself, another form of 'us vs. them').

Finally, it's the fear of 'choosing the wrong side' -- of not listening and then, one day, waking up and finding that the horror stories you were told are all true, and there's nothing to save you because you 'didn't listen to the message'.

Now you are making assumptions about me. You don't know the places I've been or the things I've done. I assure you I have no fear of rebellious multidimensional beings, losing the spiritual war, choosing the wrong side, man, or even death.

You have already acknowledged that you have spiritual knowledge and experience. I believe you are being deceptive in your post.

Why did you choose the wiccan Gods? Was it out of fear?

I think people are super sensitive about religion, sexuality, etc.,... because of insecurities within themselves or because they've been attacked in the past, everyone probably has their reasons but they remain tricky subjects.

Sorry, but I do not agree about the "insecurities", or about the " attacks". I imagine that would apply to a very small minority.

I know things can get a little heated here in the religious form. However,
I just was reading the political forum. And I must say, I think those discussing religion are far kinder than the harsh words and personal attacks I was reading in the political forum.

I apologize -- the post was not directed at you. I only meant to point out that, for some, fear is the motivator employed when seeking converts.

I did not choose my current path out of fear. I chose it because of the fearful messages that I was finding in the Bible -- God turned a woman into salt, destroyed an entire city, and flooded a whole planet (ostensibly because his creation wasn't up to snuff). And apparently, if I don't follow Him, I'll be sentenced to eternal punishment when I die.

It may make sense and seem 'okay' to some, but I prefer to live my life without worrying about the idea of divine retribution being heaped on me for being less-than-perfect.

Why? Because I'm human, and being less-than-perfect is part of my nature. If I'm going to be punished for my failures, I'm more than capable of punishing myself (and I often do ).

Thanks for sharing. I agree that some people do use fear as a motivator. I am not one of them. (I hope) While we have very different world views, I think we are both searching for the truth in our own way. It has been fun sharing thoughts with you.
