I don't even know where to begin to comment about this article:

Vatican urges psych tests on future priests - The Vatican

On one hand, they want to resort to psychology for help in determining if a man is capable of remaining celibate and/or has no homosexual tendencies. But on the other hand, they dismiss psychological findings which would say that homosexuality is NOT a disease or disorder...?

And as far as checking to see if a man can maintain the course of celibacy....why not just allow priests to be married, and save the trouble? After all, it's Biblical to be married AND be a church leader. I mean, they already have a priest shortage as it is. How is testing to "weed out" bad candidates going to help that?

I'm sorry, but more and more the Catholic church confuses the heck out of me.
