It proves that man doesn't have it all figured out, and when we think we can say so....look out.... here comes something unexpected...

I was just giving examples, it was not a complete list... ie Zebras, horses, giraffe, elephant, hippo....etc....

So we are pretty much back to all the living things, like 500+ of them, all on one boat. Yep!

I don't know if anything in scripture points to replenishing the earth, but i think its pretty obvious He did, and continues to.
|
I see nothing obvious here.
We need to ask the "all knowing" ones for help with the scripture.

(Destruction by water. Divine cause. Warning given. Humans spared Animals spared. Preserved in a vessel.) The common aspects to this story has been presevered by the following people, and countries.
Australia-Kurnai, Bolivia-Chiriguano, Borneo-sea Dayak, Burma-Singpho, Canada-Cree, China-Lolo, Cuba-original natives, East Africa-Masai, Egypt-Book of the Dead, French Polynesia, Guyana-Macushi, Iceland-Eddas, India-Andamam Islands, India-Bhil, India-Kamar, Iran- Zend-Avesta, Italy-Ovid's Poetry, Mexico-Codex Chimalpopoca, New Zeland-Maori, Peru-Indians of Huarochiri, Russia-Vogul, Alaska-Tlingit,Arizona-Papago, Hawaii-legend of Nu-u, Vietnam-Bahnar, ect.

Sure Campbell.
-The gods planed to destroy the world through floods and a guy called Utnapishtim saved himself by making an ark after being warned by Ea.
-A pelican fell in love with a log and then kicked it after it didn't answer back
-Only a boy and a girl survived the flood by floating on a leaf with a frog who carried hot coal on it's mouth
-The flood was started by the god Gong Gong, lasted for 22 years and stopped thanks to a corpse turned to a dragon and it's son.
-All the water from the flood came from a tree-stump
Hmmm, somehow I don't think you believe in all the flood myths or even the gods those other cultures attribute the stories to. Why not? Why do you only believe in the details that parallel genesis but reject everything else? I hope others understand what I mean by ignoring the differences.
Let me guess, they are all from the same event and the stories differ due to the chinese whisper phenomenon but genesis alone just so happens to be exactly how it happened because of [special pleading excuse no# 377]. Pfft, do you really think that you can use others beliefs in this way without having to acknowledge their validity first?
....um no. I'm not convinced in the slightest that the stories are connected though those from cultures near each other might have taken elements from one another.

So your telling me all these people made this story up and kept it in their oral tradition,

Yeah. I'm not sure why you don't considering they all involve different gods and more often than not they involve several gods(Are you a polytheist?).

Oooooh, I never would have imagined that stories based on global floods would all involve a boat(s) and few people surviving.

Just because science has discovered previously unknown animals to you that means they are newly created?...I'm sure that there are a lot more creatures in the oceans that have yet to be discovered by man....They are not new, but just haven't been seen yet...You do need to read something besides your bible to get a well rounded education

Actually i think some have calculated it to be around 16,000 animals on one boat... but it was more like a cargo ship, it was a pretty big boat.

Okay, it's obvious to me that there are new species discovered all the time and we have no idea how long they have been here... no fossil record of them...?

As I said freedom...The bible does not by itself give one a well rounded education.
From your link.
“The remote and inaccessible forests in the Heart of Borneo are one of the world’s final frontiers for science, and many new species continue to be discovered here,” said Chapman.

Calculated?? 16K + animals? Who did the calculation? Cargo ship?
You keep on bringing more ridiculous things to light, do you make them up as you go, or you just messing around for the sake of typing something?
Sometimes i wonder.
Obviously you don't believe in a literal word of the bible, why don't you just come out and say "I don't believe it to be true, however, i speculate....", at least you would sound more less intelligent.
