Well anytime you base your belief on facts, I don't see where the confusion enters the picture. Many of the oral traditions back up what the Scripture speaks about. And not to forget the historical accounts from others who have actually claimed to of seen the ark. There is some very dramatic testimony out there. There were two Americans that saw the ark on two different occasions, one I believe saw it back in World War II, and the other during the 1960s, both were in the U.S. Armed Services. And both accounts even though they were from different time periods, both accounts matched. The one man who saw it back in the 40s shortly before he died restated what he saw to a reporter, he told the reporter he was speaking the truth. It was pretty close to a death bed confession.
The bible and oral traditions are mere hearsay and can not be considered evidence or facts. Campbell, if as you say many have seen the ark why haven't these sighting been confirmed? Why is it, or pieces of it not in a museum somewhere? The fact that it isn't confirms why hearsay is valueless.
Well the Bible is the only Book I know that writes about history before that history happens. The epic of Gilgamesh does not have that ability. So that makes the Bible kind of special. Gilgamesh recounts history, the Bible speaks about the future often in detail before that history happens.

Oh, is that all you need....evidence...
Pottery chards of King David are discovered with the scriptures on them, do you now believe the bible...
"The Temple of Olympian Zeus (Greek: Ναός του Ολυμπίου Διός or Naos tou Olimpiou Dios), also known as the Olympieion, is a colossal ruined temple in the centre of the Greek capital Athens that was formerly dedicated to Zeus, king of the Olympian gods. Construction began in the 6th century BC during the rule of the Athenian tyrants, who envisaged building the greatest temple in the ancient world, but it was not completed until the reign of the Roman Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD some 650 years after the project had begun. During the Roman periods it was renowned as the largest temple in Greece and housed one of the largest cult statues in the ancient world."

What about Nostradamus-Book of Prophecy, do you believe in this one too?

Lol, ya, a mythological god. Or are you saying he really exists too? Cause you "proved" the bible in the same way.
