Recently I've discovered that my neighbor gambles illegally online. I feel like I should report this to the authorities, however, my wife feels that it is none of our business.

I'm a Christian and morally opposed to gambling and feel it's a waste of money, however it comes down to personal choice. If you want to fly out to Vegas and throw away your money that is your decision.

However, Online gambling I have a huge issue with. It's 100% illegal. Kids can be exposed to it and I've heard horror stories of people losing everything after their child got online and found an online gaming site. Terrorism and drug criminals also use these sites to launder money.

My biggest issue is the fact that I know that my neighbor is breaking the law and I feel it would be wrong for my not to notify the police.

Should I report this guy or just let it go?

I think you need to mind your own business.

OK Gladys Kravitz!

I'd mind my own business personally, unless it was a good friend who was damaging their life or the life of their family by throwing away money.

Is all online gambling illegal? I'm not into gambling, so I don't follow gambling laws. I went to Vegas once and threw away $50 in the slots (my gambling allowance) and otherwise found the city to be tacky and gawdy.

So far 3 to 0 supporting me doing nothing.

Am I off my rocker because it bothers me that I know the law is being broken? Just curious.

Pick your battles, this isn't one of them. It's your neighbor and why on earth would you want to do this? Love thy neighbor. And remember, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

Your neighbor's business is not your business. Your wife is right (gasp). I thought even Christians had heard of the concept of free will. People who break the law usually manage to get caught on their own...even in the "privacy" of their own homes...(no) thanks to the new "Patriot" laws. Perhaps you should cultivate a hobby to take your mind off your neighbor.

Personally, I think that it's a little immature to go around tattling on every single thing you find disagreeable. Do you call the cops every time you see someone speeding on the highway? That's against the law and probably a lot more dangerous than online gambling. It could KILL someone. Yet, I'd be willing to bet you do not call the cops every time you see someone going faster than the speed limit.

There are certain crimes worthy of reporting. If your neighbor was the head of a large drug cartel or was the head of a child prostitution ring than fire away and I hope the guy goes away for a long time. But online gambling? My guess is the cops would probably laugh in your face upon your reporting it and nothing would be done anyway. At least, if I were a cop, I'd laugh in your face.

Um - yes, I would say so.
What interests me more is: is online poker really "100% illegal"?

Law Enforcement, at least those officers/deputies I know, have much more pressing things to handle than on-line poker playing. Let it go.
