This is shocking and horrible, no doubt. I heard a discussion about Africa this morning, and there are terrible things happening in the name of religion, but this in no way has anything to do with God. The problem with Africa is this: A large portion claim Christianity, yet their "culture" is still immersed in witchcraft. Witchcraft is pure evil. There is no "light" witchcraft that is harmless...it's all from Satan and it's all very real.
And therein lies the problem. We have ministers married to witchdoctors, and they don't see that this is a problem. They think that the two are synonymous somehow because it's all "spiritual", and that couldn't be further from the truth.
There are two elements to the spiritual realm, one is light and one is darkness. What does light have in common with darkness? If any darkness is allowed in, the room will always be dim. Until the element of darkness is eliminated, there will never be peace in ANY country, for that matter. These people commiting these heinous crimes are ruled by darkness, not light.
One who does not believe in God is not going to believe in the devil. There was a thread a while back where someone said they started to believe in God when they realized just how real Satan is. If you ever have a truly evil experience, it may change your mind about God.

Believing that education and increased knowledge somehow negates God is so completely arrogant and is exactly why this world is in trouble. Can man create himself? Denying our Creator because of arrogance is so extremely dangerous. There are no words to express how dangerous this is to society as a whole. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. The only thing that has changed is mankind, not God.
Believe what you want, but I am not the one playing into the hands of the forces of darkness.
The net results of accepting Jesus Christ (not doctrine or religion) are love and eternal life. That, my friend, is nothing but positive.
God is not being sabotaged. God is all powerful and is in full control of His World and Universe. Why is there evil and a devil? Because Lucifer (Satan) rejected God and was thrown out of heaven with his other angelic minions. All because they wanted more power and to do things their own way, which is the origination of evil.
We don't know the whole story and why God didn't just do away with Satan and his demons, and we won't until we die. I feel certain (and this is just my opinion) that we (humans) would probably never have existed if this war in heaven hadn't taken place. You can drive yourself crazy trying to figure out the mind of God, and that's why we are to trust Him and believe in Him through faith that there is a purpose for every single thing that happens on this planet.
The time may be gone for you, but there is always time to spread the gospel and the message of hope through Jesus Christ, as long as we're breathing. God is a merciful God and we are warned and told plainly in the Bible that we will have to suffer through all kinds of trials while on this earth. Is it fair? Our minds say no, but as a Christian your HEART says my mind is not important...the mind and plan of God is what is important. Complete faith in God and complete self-denial.
Questioning and blaming just gives you more questions and makes you more angry and combative. Accepting Christ gives you peace that surpasses ALL understanding. Someone who truly has accepted Jesus Christ by faith has an unquenchable thirst for His knowledge and truth from His Word, but is satisfied and at peace knowing that He IS the answer.
