I caught Pat Robertson doing a report on it. He referred to it as an "attack on Christianity".

Sick and tired of hearing Christians moan and complain when other people want their right to speak up as well.

I'm not an Atheist, more of an Agnostic, but I can CERTAINLY see how this sign can be perceived as hateful, and I can't believe some of you can't see it.

Church puts up a nativity, then a building beside it puts up a sign saying basically "Hey, this stuff isn't real, merry christmas."

That's immature and completely arrogant. Kids are going to read that and possibly ruin their Christmas, parents will get frustrated, and so on and so on. If someone wants to turn Atheist, a ****ing sign isn't going to do it, guys.

Think about how you guys became to be agnostics or atheists or whatever you may be. Was it because a sign influenced you? A literal- billboard sign. I don't think so.

Sorry, but it was childish, I believe. They have a right to execute their beliefs, but should have done it in better taste. This is a case of a church saying something like "Believe in Jesus" and the building next to it saying "NO DONT DO IT! HES NOT REAL!"

It's just childish

Oh please. Are you serious? You know what is more childish?

Christians damning me to Hell for not being Christian. Christians telling me whatever I believe in is from Satan.

Oh boo hoo! Christians actually have to DEAL with someone else giving their opinion. Wah!

So you're just going to stoop to their level?

That's pathetic. Carry yourself with some honor.

very few protest separation of church and state. most protest their desire to replace your religion on the state capital with theirs, an earth based religious belief system.

I am not stooping to their level. Their level is "OMG! OUR RELIGION ONLY! OUR WAY ONLY!"

Mine is "Everyone should get to put up their beliefs. Christianity is NOT the only religion and the only way."

OK, well people can do that in ways that aren't insulting.

If you're sick of people shoving religion down your throat (and I don't know how this happens, because people don't shove any religion anywhere near me), then how about this: act like an adult and ignore them.

Honestly. Ignoring it isn't hard. Only babies whine and complain and put up passive aggressive signs on their front lawn for the sole purpose of pissing people off. It's childish. If you want anyone to look at Atheists with any respect, you wouldn't advocate such action.

I agree. There is nothing hateful about a nativity scene. It shouldn't even "bother" anyone who doesn't believe in Jesus. But, just for the sake of being contrary, the atheist sign was done with hateful intentions.

I don't believe in global warming ~ I've felt all along that it's a load of dung. But never would I consider plastering up a sign right alongside one with the words, "Absurd propaganda. Don't buy into this crap!"
