Why Is Fornication Wrong?

I don't think fornication is wrong. I think fornication is fun. I don't believe that people should violate oaths to one another, though, so I believe that cheating on a partner is wrong (whether formally married or not). Obviously, if one has an understanding that allows fornication outside the partnership, it is not cheating. And just as obviously, the person electing to fornicate has a solemn duty to everyone involved to fornicate in a safe manner.
