Happy Hanukkah to all...Actually I toss all that commercial crap too. How does he figure that calling them holiday gifts offends Christians....How about the non Christians? Are Christians that thin skinned?

Are non-Christians that thin-skinned?

Are Jewish people that think-skinned? I wouldn't get upset with them saying Happy Hannukah, or even someone telling me Happy Kwanzaa.

Point is, the people buying the things from these catalogs are likely to be those that celebrate Christmas. 90% of Americans claim to celebrate it.

So what? Is Christmas not a holiday? A rose by any other name is still a rose.

The guy in the video makes a good point. People don't buy gifts for Thanksgiving...and nobody feels the need to combine Valentines day and Presidents day into a "Holidays".

It would help the merchants to not offend those that they want to buy their products.

I worked for retail for years and have been coached to say happy holidays, so not to offend our customers. If we were to say Merry Christmas we would be disciplined.

Christians are offended? Sensitive lot you are. Today Xmas is mostly a money making holiday for merchants anyway.

so be it

these stores are the ones that want my money. You'd think they'd want to keep from offending people...no matter how thin-skinned they make think the customer is.
